WESTON RESIDENTS WAKE UP TO FIND CARS BURGLARIZED

Broward Sheriff's Office detectives are investigating a spate of car burglaries that happened in Weston.

While their victims slept, thieves entered six unlocked vehicles on March 30 between 3 and 4 a.m. taking a $700 recording interface, cash, credit cards and tennis racquets. The man and woman went from block to block accessing the cars in the 1600 blocks of Eastlake Way and Newport Lane.

One of the suspects was later seen on surveillance video using a victim's credit card at Chevron, 12607 W. Sunrise Blvd., Sunrise.

The man is described as having a thin frame and short-cropped hair. He wore a longsleeve black shirt and black drawstring pants. The woman wore a tank top, pants and sneakers. Her long hair was pulled into a ponytail.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Danielle Quinones at 954-626-4008. Reports can also be made anonymously to Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS (8477) or online at browardcrimestoppers.org. Anonymous tips that lead to an arrest are eligible for a reward of up to $3,000.
