Description of Incident:

On the evening of April 17, Pompano Beach Broward Sheriff's Office deputies responded to 906 N.E. 24th Avenue to conduct a welfare check on Patrick Palmer after he missed several days of work. Upon entering, deputies observed blood on the floor and found Palmer unconscious with injuries to his arms. As they continued to search the residence, they discovered the body of an unidentified female.

Palmer was transported to a local hospital.

The homicide detectives are working to determine the identity of the female. Her cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner.

The investigation is ongoing.
