Description of Incident:

A substitute teacher was arrested on Thursday after indecently touching a 7-year-old student, and Broward Sheriff's Office detectives believe there may be other victims.

Around 5:30 p.m. May 16, the victim was in aftercare at Quiet Waters Elementary, 4150 W. Hillsboro Blvd., when Juan Manns approached the boy and told him to sit on his lap.

The child told BSO's Special Victims Detective LaTanya Phillips that when he was on Manns' lap, he felt "something" poking his buttocks.

According to the detective, the 24-year-old suspect was a substitute teacher at the school for a year and also worked in the aftercare program. He's facing one count of lewd and lascivious conduct.
