Date: Nov. 1, 2018

Detectives are asking for help from the public to capture the elusive armed man who has robbed two Broward businesses at least four times since February. The robber’s MO is always the same: act very low-key and come back and do it again.

Before noon on October 8 and 24, the subdued armed man robbed the Payless Shoe Source located at 3981 W. Oakland Park Blvd. in Lauderdale Lakes. Detectives believe this is the same man who robbed a McDonald’s in Oakland Park on March 3 and again on May 31.

Witnesses describe the man as being in his 40s-50s with a light complexion, a medium build, approximately 6 foot tall, with a clean shave and a Hispanic accent.

Detectives believe he may be driving a dark green or gray 2002-04 Toyota Camry.

Anyone with information can contact Detective Armando Enrique at 954-321-4233 or 954-321-4270. Reports can also be made anonymously to Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS (8477) or online at Anonymous tips that lead to an arrest are eligible for a reward of up to $3,000.
