This "shopper" is probably experiencing buyer's remorse now that Broward Sheriff's Office detectives are looking to identify him.

Around 2:35 p.m. Nov. 8, surveillance video shows a man walk into a Pompano Beach computer store and pretend to shop for a laptop. He picks up a computer, gives it some consideration and with the computer in hand turns to leave In2Computers, 1070 W. Sample Road. On his way out, he grabs a second laptop as the cashier runs after him.

The thief left with a HP Pavilion and IBM ThinkPad, which have a total value of about $840. He was seen entering the passenger side of a white hatchback.

The suspect is described as a heavyset man in his late 30s to early 40s. On the afternoon of the theft, he had a clean-shaven face and bald head. He wore a two-tone T-shirt and shorts with dark-colored sneakers.

Anyone with information is asked to contact BSO Det. James Pedre at 954-786-4201 or Broward Crime Stoppers, anonymously, at 954-493-TIPS (8477) or Anonymous tips that lead to an arrest are eligible for a reward of up to $3,000.
