The season for giving has begun, and the Broward Sheriff's Office Pompano Beach district is giving to kids in need in a magical way.

Dozens of community volunteers spent hours transforming the E. Pat Larkins Community Center into a Christmas wonderland to welcome more than 100 families – about 300 children - to a wonderful evening of holiday fun.

5 – 9 p.m., December 15

E. Pat Larkins Community Center

520 Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd.

Pompano Beach

Sheriff Scott Israel and Santa will be on hand to welcome the children and make sure they don't leave empty-handed.  The guests were selected through school resource deputies around the county.  The event was paid for through donations from the community.
