The accident happened just before 7 p.m. Dec. 3.  Broward Sheriff's Office traffic homicide detectives say Leroy West was riding the minibike, heading north on Northwest 31st Avenue approaching the intersection of Northwest 5th Street.  The intersection doesn't have streetlights.  A southbound vehicle, driven by Ava D'allesandro, 36, made a left turn onto the eastbound lanes of Northwest 5th Street and into the path of the minibike.  West struck the rear, passenger side door of the vehicle.
