Description of Incident:

Traffic homicide detectives are investigating a fatal crash that left one pedestrian dead just after midnight on Saturday in Dania Beach.

At approximately 12:30 a.m. on October 27, Terrance Danyl Pressey was driving a 2011 Dodge Charger northbound on S.W. 40th Avenue. Initial investigation revealed that Madhusudhan Bhetwal was attempting to walk across S.W. 40th Avenue from the west to east. Pressey’s car struck Bhetwal once he entered the roadway.

Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue pronounced him deceased on scene.

Initially Pressey left the scene then later returned and cooperated with the investigation.

Evidence from the scene suggests that Bhetwal may have been impaired due to alcohol consumption.

The investigation is ongoing.
