Description of Incident:

Broward Sheriff's Office detectives arrested Johnny Edward Granger, 53, Tuesday afternoon for the murder of his housemate, Leon Frazier. Granger admitted to stabbing Frazier three times outside their home in West Park the evening of April 9 because he felt the victim was making sexual advances towards him.

Frazier's sister discovered him bleeding profusely from several stab wounds in his back moments after the incident. The victim was treated on scene. He was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital where he died.

Granger fled the scene after the stabbing. Detectives found him at a relative's home the day after the murder. When he exited the home, Granger raised his hands in the air without being prompted and subsequently confessed to the murder.

Granger is now facing a charge of premeditated murder and is being held without bond. He has an arrest history going back to 2000 for charges including theft, burglary, resisting arrest, domestic violence and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
