On New Year’s Eve, a suspect spends the afternoon breaking into a North Lauderdale home instead of working on his resolutions. Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives are hoping someone can identify the burglar.

On Dec. 31, 2018, the suspect visits the victim’s home and rings the doorbell three separate times. At 12:22 p.m., he checks to see if the door is unlocked and then rings the bell. He returns two minutes later and pushes the bell. The burglar comes calling again at 2:28 p.m. Satisfied that no one appears to be home, around 3 p.m. the suspect breaks into the homeowner’s garage. He takes two televisions and a box of rolled coins.

In the surveillance video, the burglar appears to have a slender build and beard. He wears a gold chain, black tank top, black and white shorts and black fingerless gloves. His knit cap covers his head.
